Privacy Policy — ABVKVK (Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra)

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra (Kandivali Skill Centre), operated under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which publishes the ABVKVK application on Google Play. “You” refers to any person who registers for or uses the application or the website.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information directly from you when you register, build your profile, apply for training or apply for jobs:

• Identity information: full name (as per Aadhaar), father's name, gender, and your National Identifier / Aadhaar number.
• Contact information: email address, mobile number, postal address, city, state and PIN code.
• Education and employment information: qualifications, skills, work experience, and your résumé or CV and any supporting documents you upload.
• Application and training records: the courses you register for, your training progress, and the jobs you apply to.
• Account information: your login credentials. Passwords are stored in an encrypted form and are never visible to us in plain text.
• Technical information: limited diagnostic and connection information required to operate and secure the service.

The application does not request access to your device location, camera roll, contacts, microphone or SMS messages. The only Android permission the application requires is internet access.

Sensitive Personal Information (Aadhaar)

Your National Identifier / Aadhaar number is collected solely to verify your identity and to meet the enrolment, reporting and audit requirements of government-sponsored skill development and placement programmes. It is transmitted over an encrypted connection, is stored in restricted-access systems, and is never used for advertising, profiling or any commercial purpose. We do not sell or rent this information, and we disclose it only to the government bodies and programme authorities that require it for the programme you have enrolled in, or where disclosure is required by law.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and administer your account
• Process your course registrations and training enrolment
• Share your profile and résumé with recruiters for the jobs you choose to apply to
• Communicate with you about courses, programmes, applications and interviews
• Provide support when you contact us
• Maintain the security and integrity of the service
• Meet reporting obligations under government skill development programmes and comply with applicable law

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• With recruiters and employers — your profile and résumé are shared with an employer when you apply to that employer's job listing.
• With government and programme authorities — where required for enrolment, certification, reporting or audit under a skill development programme you have joined.
• With service providers — hosting and email delivery providers who process data on our instructions and are bound to keep it confidential.
• Where required by law — to comply with a legal obligation, court order or lawful request from a public authority.

Data Security

Data is transmitted between the application and our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to personal information is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to administer the programme. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. You can accept or decline cookies through your browser settings, though declining may prevent you from signing in.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter only for as long as required to meet the reporting, certification and audit obligations of the programmes you enrolled in, or as otherwise required by law. When you delete your account, your profile, résumé, job applications and training history are permanently erased as described below.

Account Deletion and Data Erasure

You can delete your account and associated personal data in either of two ways:

• Inside the app: sign in and go to Settings → Delete Account.
• Without signing in: submit a request at https://www.kandivaliskillcentre.com/delete-account, or email [email protected] from your registered email address.

On deletion we permanently erase your profile, contact details, National Identifier / Aadhaar number, résumé and uploaded documents, job applications and training history. Requests are actioned within 48 hours of verification. Where a specific record must be retained to satisfy a statutory or programme audit obligation, it is retained in a restricted archive for the minimum period the law requires and is then deleted; nothing is retained for any other purpose.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent to marketing communications
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

Children's Privacy

The application is intended for candidates seeking skill training and employment and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be notified to you within the application.
